Youth Stars of Manitoba

The Manitoba Stampede and Exhibition would like to invite young Manitobans to be apart of our Youth Talent Search. Contestants will compete for 1 semi-final position at the Red River Exhibition, where you will be 1 of 12 semi finalists who will compete to represent Manitoba at the Canadian Association of Fairs and Exhibitions National Finals. Past winners of the National Finals include: Country Music Sensation Paul Brandt, Canadian Idol finalist Jenny Gear, 1998 World Solo Tap Dance Champion Stephanie Cadman and many more.

To qualify for this event you must meet the following criteria:

Be non-professional
For competition July 16th, be no younger than 12 years of age as of June 1, 2010 and be no older than 20 years of age as of November 1, 2010.
Have no more than 5 participants in your performance
Length of performance must be no more than 4.5 minutes

Contestants will be judged on both Artistic and Technical abilities

The event will take place at the Manitoba Stampede & Exhibition July 22, 2010. Prizes will be awarded as follows:

$400.00 and entry into Provincial Semi Finals
$250.00
$100.00

To enter the Manitoba Stampede’s Youth Talent Search you must:

Meet the above criteria
Fill out the registration form
Have the form signed by your parents (if under the age of 18).
Have your form endorsed by someone who has had an influence on your talent (Music Teacher, School Principal, Dance Instructor or equivalent)
